Relaxation versus stress management.
Stress management means more than simple relaxation. In my opinion, a sense or feeling of relaxation is only one of the expressions of stress management. For example, an overstressed person (who under pre-session hemodynamic studies will demonstrate higher blood pressure, faster heart rate, increased peripheral vascular resistance & left cardiac work), can sit in a dark room with a peaceful, soothing, ambience and soft relaxing music for one hour, after which, he/she will report a nice relaxed feeling. But post-session hemodynamics study will show the effects of this relaxation session to be only a small reduction of peripheral vascular resistance, blood pressure, heart rate, etc. On the other hand, stress management massage causes measurably significant positive changes in functions of organs and systems (as I mentioned previously) and you will experience and report the relaxation sensation as well.

Why massage therapy is the most powerful method in stress management.
Two factors define the physiological effect of massage on humans.
1.
Local, mechanical factor - expressed by mechanical acceleration of venous blood drainage, some degree of lymph drainage acceleration, passive exercise for soft tissues, and breaking down deposits of calcium in soft tissue and stimulation of its removal from the body.
2.
Reflex factor - the main power of massage therapy is its reflexive therapy. By mobilizing skin, connective and muscular tissue, we deform the proprioceptors, which in turn creates action potentials (electrical activities) that through neurological pathways reaching motor and vasomotor centers. As a reflex (involuntary reaction of organs and systems to original stimuli) the body responds by expressing all positive changes that I mentioned earlier. In order to reach these results we must perform all sets of therapy in the inhibitory regime.

Who should study from Boris self-stress management techniques?
Boris teaches different seminars that include self-treatment for back and joints disorders as well as sports related injuries of shoulder, neck and upper back, elbow, wrist, lower back, hamstring, quadriceps, knee, shin splints, ankle and more.
Many people, who suffer from the aforementioned disorders, receive anti-inflammatory injection in the doctor's office or take pain killers. These measures can inhibit pain, which will make people believe that they can come back to the usual physical activities/routine. This is an erroneous way of thinking.
In order to prevent severe re-injuries and further development of pathologies within joints and muscles, person must receive, at least, 15 treatments that will contain massage, trigger point therapy, ice and cold application, special exercise program that will include neuromuscular re-education.
All the mentioned above techniques so necessary for a complete rehabilitation,
Boris will offer during his seminars. He highly recommends learning these techniques by anyone who don't have the time and money for 15 to 20 visits to the doctor's office.
The techniques that Boris proposes are beneficial not only to people who currently suffers from aforementioned disorders, but also to all healthy people who would like to keep being healthy. By attending these seminars people will learn techniques that will contribute significantly to the prevention of these injuries.
Similar recommendation Boris gives for a study of the Full Body Stress Management massage. Even if you have the time and money to receive Full Body Stress Management massage a twice a week from a professional therapist, due to the tremendous exposure to stress you have to learn these techniques. In case if you will be exposed to sudden critical stress (at work or in any unexpected place) you will be able to immediately manage it in any available position, at work, or any other unexpected environment.
For those people, who cannot afford twice a week visits to a massage therapist, the answer is quite simple. You must do it to avoid the social stress related diseases such as back pain, shoulder pain, heart attacks, high blood pressure, strokes, diabetes type 2 and many more.

Prevention and self-management of sports related injuries as well as other skeletal muscular disfunctions.
Word from Boris on this subject.
The most painful symptoms in the lower back, upper back and neck, shoulder, is a result of strain and sometime sprain as it happens at the time of sports activities, car accidents, etc. Strain means overload. A person can overload muscle and tendons in a different ways like gradually due to a repeated motions or sudden as in lifting weight or car accident or sports activilities. All techniques that I will teach are equally effective in management of injuries related to sports activities, industrial injuries or aging related painful abnormalities.
Due to the fact that sports related injuries and
reinjures, including significant complications and surgeries, significant
development of osteo-arthritis, etc gotten to pandemic proportions, I
decided to develop seminar programs where I will teach self-techniques for
different regions. No matter if you develop lower back pain, shoulder,
knee, lower back pain at the time of sports activities, car accidents or
just like not caused by injuries, the proposed techniques will help
equally.
